The Mennonite Church USA (MC USA) Executive Board communications department is relaunching Equipping, a resource e-newsletter for influential leaders across MC USA, this month. After a hiatus of two years, the department surveyed former advertisers and subscribers and discovered that there was still strong interest in a resource newsletter.
Camille Dager, chief communication officer for MC USA, said, “Helping to equip MC USA leaders is one of the primary goals for the Executive Board staff for the 2023-2025 biennium. The Equipping newsletter is a convenient way for all conferences and congregations to stay informed about resources and learning opportunities across the denomination.”
MC USA will reintroduce Equipping as a quarterly email newsletter that will feature resources on leadership, peacebuilding, worship, faith formation and more from MC USA and its conferences, congregations, agencies, ministry partners, constituency groups, and affiliated schools and colleges. The first issue will be distributed on Nov.14, 2023.
In response to survey feedback, MC USA updated the format to make it easier to read and to offer more choices to advertisers. They also reduced advertising rates to make it more accessible to all organizations.
Christle Hain, communications coordinator for MC USA said, “I am hoping that our relaunch will excite those that have resources to share and our Equipping readers.”
