(Mennonite Church USA)—The Corinthian Plan (TCP) has hired James Miller of Sarasota, Fla., as area representative for eight Mennonite Church USA area conferences on the East Coast, effective Feb. 1, 2015. The Corinthian Plan is a Mennonite Church USA-sponsored health coverage and benefits program based on mutual care practices.
Miller comes to The Corinthian Plan after a career as a clinical social worker; he also served 11 years as a church relations manager with Mennonite Mutual Aid (now Everence) in southern Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Debra, have two adult children. He enjoys singing with his wife in community groups, bicycling and playing tennis.
Area representatives attend annual area conference annual meetings. They are also available to relate to congregations participating in TCP during the renewal period each fall, as well as throughout the year to share general information or refer for more specific assistance.
In addition to Miller, TCP area representatives include Joe Christophel of Goshen, Ind., and Keith Harder of Hillsboro, Kan. Ingrid Friesen Moser of Goshen, Ind., serves as wellness coordinator, and Duncan Smith, Lakewood, Colo., is director of the plan.
