(Mennonite Church USA) — Mennonite Church USA (MC USA) has released a new video, Donor Relations, that offers best practices for connecting with donors in ways that build ministry and impact people’s lives. Created by Crystal Washington, a technology strategist and certified futurist, the video addresses the specific needs of MC USA ministries, especially during a time of crisis.
“During crisis, funds are often diverted because people want to be a part of the solution for the big crisis,” said Washington, who specializes in helping organizations build relationships across various media platforms. “It’s more important than ever to tie in your causes with that particular crisis.”
The Donor Relations video covers the following topics:
- Technology tools and recommendations
- Giving options
- Recommendations for outreach
- Tips for messaging and communications
The video also highlights positive examples of what MC USA churches are already doing, such as Austin Mennonite Church and Pacific Southwest Conference.
“Your ability to communicate the importance of your programs and help people be a part of what you’re doing enables you to save and enrich other people’s lives,” said Washington. “Keeping the circulation of resources going is simply uplifting to humanity as a whole.”
