In the last several months, I’ve had the chance to attend several events where Lynne Hybels spoke. I was excited to hear Lynne say in one workshop that she is convinced that peacemaking is the cutting edge of Christian discipleship in the coming era.
Lynne’s husband, Bill, is pastor of Willow Creek Community Church (Illinois), the premier mega-church in the United States. He recently preached a powerful sermon on peacemaking. In part he used a peacemaking framework introduced by John Paul Lederach in The Journey Toward Reconciliation (Herald Press, 1999).
