Mark Fly

“I just wanted to let you know”. This was a common type of phrase at the end of my conversations with Mark Fly. Mark died suddenly on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014.
As an area representative with The Corinthian Plan, Mark was one of those persons holding a very part-time, but very important, job within Mennonite Church USA. The Corinthian Plan is Mennonite Church USA’s sponsored health care plan.
You may have seen Mark at an area conference meeting if you lived in the eastern United States. He made connections regarding The Corinthian Plan with great enthusiasm and interest. What always struck me was how he was able to keep in mind what was best for the person or congregation, while tracking both the details and the big picture as well.
Mark, you will be missed, and your passing reminds me of all the people who do so much with little or no recognition.
